Chase Mattson was born on June 3, 1994, in Ontario, California, USA. He is the son of Edward Mattson, a businessman, and Laurie Galal, a homemaker. Chase has five siblings: brothers Kyle, Cameron, Brandon, and Teddy, and a sister named Payton. At the age of 16, he moved with his family to Orange County, California. He attended Colony High School and later pursued studies in sign language interpretation and translation at Irvine Valley College.

Chase's modeling career began when he was 17, working at Hollister, where he was scouted by agent Mark Mendez. By the age of 20, he had signed with his first acting agency, Luber Rocklin Acting. Over the years, he has been represented by several agencies, including LA Models Runway, Models Direct Management, Mega Miami, Independent Men Milan, and Next Models LA/London.
